Cusco, Peru

My first stop in Peru was Cusco. Cusco, a city in the Peruvian Andes, was once capital of the Inca empire, and is now known for its archaeological remains and Spanish colonial architecture. Set at an altitude of 3,400m, it's the gateway to further Inca sites in the Urubamba (Sacred) Valley and the Inca Trail, a multiday trek that ends at the mountain citadel of Machu Picchu.

I really enjoyed my time whiles adjusting to the altitude. The food is amazing, there are a lot of alpaca products to buy and I also went for a Yoga class to be ready for the Lares Trek.
