My first season joining the Kite Park League

After three sucessfull years competing at the PKRA Freestyle World Tour it was at the time to look for a new challenge which I found in joining the Kite Park League (www.kiteparkleague.com).

My season this year started in the Philippines at the Blue Palawan Open, where I finished 5th and won the GoPro Media Prize. After that I had to fight hard for a place at the legendary Wind and Voyager Triple S. I was very stoked to win the open event and a bit disappointed about a 7th place in the mainevent, because I did not feel that I was able to show my best at all. The wind was very strong and I was not dealing very well with the tuff conditions.

The next stop was the Hood Jam in Hood River, where I was able to train for around 1 month. The event started good on the sliders but after a weak performance on the right foot kicker I knew that I am not going to be in the top 4 for the final as the level is so high that I would not have to show my best to have enough scores. Neverless I was still motivated and I enjoy riding in the kite park so much. I have so much to learn that I am improving almost with every session a bit more. Especially the 3rd place in the last event of the Kite Park League in the UK is showing me that I can do it, that I just have to believe in me and keep on working hard as well as to enjoy to be on the water.

I am very happy with the 4th place in the overall ranking of the KPL and that would not be possible without my amazing sponosors. I will spend a few weeks at home and train in the gym (www.befit2.com) before I am going to Phuket to ride some cable and finally travel to the Philippines to train the paradise at www.bluekiteboarding.com where my season will start in February.
